Middle School 3D Artists will be exploring how to communicate ideas and connect artistic creations to ourselves, our community, and the world through describing, analyzing, interpreting, evaluating, and comparing and contrasting artworks by Oldenburg, Nevelson, David Hockney, Segal, Duchamp, Calder, and Moore, among others. We will develop and refine sculpting skills by creating clay Pop Art, shoes, or an independent project; creating a mixed media self-portrait, a sculpture inspired by a social/global issue, or a sculpture developed as an interpretation of a famous art piece; and by forming assemblage sculptures.
