7-8: 3D Artists will be exploring how to communicate ideas and connect artistic creations to ourselves, our community, and the world through describing, analyzing, interpreting, evaluating, and comparing and contrasting artworks by Oldenheim, Picasso, Segal, Ensor, Dali, Calder, and Moore, among others. We will develop and refine sculpting skills through creating clay gargoyles, shoes, or an independent project; sculpting identity masks, a mask inspired by a social/global issue, or a mask developed as an interpretation of a famous art piece; and by forming either an abstract sculpture, an altered self-portrait sculpture, or a sculpture inspired by a famous piece of art from history.
